Trip to Kuiper Belt on Ultima Thule

The entire project follows the narrative of Sam Davis who is a geologist and fabricator who undergoes trip to the outer space towards the Kuiper Belt through a spaceship called the Ultima Thule. Due to an emergency, it is required that Sam has to fuse his capsule with another traveller - Esk.
Both the capsule fused together to become a strong sharp metal material on the outside that allows the travellers to crash onto surface to collect research sample while the interior of the capsule is the opposite, consisting of mostly flexible membrane.
Upon crash landing on an unknown land, the travellers set up a shelter reusing the remnants from their capsule that inverts the capsule's hostile exterior into a defensive shelter.
